Are the hours long? YES
Do we have a day off? Not really
Is the work ever finished and the projects all completed? Definitely NOT
Is it worth it??? ABSOLUTELY!!!
WHY? Because we CARE. We care about our Brides, Grooms, and their families. We love hosting one of the most important events of their lives and making their day the most carefree & memorable experience possible.
And so the work goes on... This past six months have been an amazing whirlwind of weddings, special events, and celebrations. We have also worked on the days in between to add:
A New Entry Sign:
New chandeliers and lighting in the reception barn
New storage room to help keep things more tidy.
And new landscaping, sod, and new plants in order to beautify our already beautiful farm.
July is reserved for us to take a deep breath and take care of any existing projects that need to be completed, and WE HAVE A BIG ONE! In two weeks we will be removing everything from the barn so we can clean, etch, stain, and seal the concrete floors. I am expecting it to take at least 5 days to complete with about 120 man hours between our son and me. We've never done this before so it will be a new experience but thanks to YouTube, I've become an expert... LOL I will show you the before and after pics in another blog soon.
This is not the end of our projects for this year but it is the largest. Pray it all goes well and that Luana will not suffer any emotional stress from trusting our venue's entire future into my hands :)
Again, why do we do it? BECAUSE WE CARE ABOUT THE COUPLES WHO CHOOSE HIDDEN CREEK!
